The 2023 Burnsville Metric is a fully supported fundraising ride benefitting Dig in Yancey and local EMS and Fire services. It will be held Saturday, April 29th, 2023 at 9:00 AM. This year we will be offering several routes ranging from 65 km up to 200 km. The Jacks Creek route, appx 65km. The Metric Route 100 km. The Double Metric Route 200 km. All routes fully supported, with rest stops and SAG. All routes will start together in the Burnsville Town Square and will travel through the scenic Cane River and Toe River Valleys before returning to Burnsville for the finish, and after party at Homeplace Beer Company. The Assault on the Carolinas is the annual fundraiser for the Pisgah Forest Rotary Club. We offer a 100k and 50k ride. The 100k goes through NC/SC mountains and valleys. Fully supported ride with 5 well stocked rest stops, and a challenging 6 mile climb up Ceasar's Head. The 50k goes through the river valleys of Scenic Transylvania County.

The rides are a 30, 31, 50, 71 or 100 mile scenic ride into parts of Surry, Wilkes, Yadkin and even a touch of Alleghany counties of North Carolina. The ride gets its name for passing several vineyards and wineries in the Yadkin Valley wine region.
